@NKUNorseXCTF set to compete in the DI Pre-National Invitational, hosted by Florida State

Highland Heights, Ky. – Northern Kentucky men's and women's cross country teams travel to Tallahassee, Florida, to compete in the DI Pre-Nationals Invitational on Friday, October 15. The men's team will run the 8k and the women's team will run in the 6k.

 

DI Pre-National Invitational

  • The meet will take place at Apalachee Parkway in Tallahassee, Florida.

  • The men will compete in the 8k race and the women will run the 6k. Start times are set for 9:10 a.m. EST and 9:45 a.m. (ET), respectively. 

  • Seventy (70) teams are contending in the event: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Arizona State, Arkansas State, Boston College, Bradley, Bucknell, BYU, CBU, Central Arkansas, Charleston Southern, Charlotte, Cincinnati, Colorado, Daytona State, Delaware, Duke, Elon, Florida International, Florida, Florida Atlantic, Florida Gulf Coast, Florida State, Georgetown, Georgia, Haskell Indian, Jacksonville, Kansas, Kansas State, Kentucky, Lake Sumter, Liberty, Louisiana Tech, Mobile, Montana State, Morehead, North Florida, Northeastern, Northern Arizona, Northern Colorado, NKU, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Princeton, Rice, Richmond, St. Leo, Santa Clara, Seabreeze, South Florida, Southern Miss, Stetson, Tallahassee, Tennessee, Texas, Toledo, Troy, UC Davis, UCF, UCLA, UL-Monroe, Utah, Utah Valley, Vanderbilt, Wake Forest, Weber State and Wyoming.

  • The Norse will travel 13 athletes from the men's team and 10 athletes from the women's. Zach Birdsall, Cody Chism, Jackson Coates, Keaton Downey, Ethan Ennis, Nick Lake, Owen Matthews, Kyle Mastin, Nicholas Lee, Will Griffith, Ethan Ennis, Steven Newman, and Noah Pease are running for the men. Mikela Aynedjian, Megan Cole, Chloe Boa, Maddie Frey, Jacqueline Witt, Hope Erbach, Sophia DeLisio, Maggie Schroeder, Megan Kelter and Nelle Yankovich are competing for the women. 

  • On Friday, Bryan Stoltzfus and Noah Slone will be competing in the Jenna Strong Invitational, hosted by Wilmington. The two athletes are set to race in the 8000m, starting at 5:15 p.m.
