HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky women's basketball team took down Green Bay on the road in the conference opener by a final score of 61-52. The Norse improve to 2-1 (1-0 Horizon League) on the year.
STATS LEADERS

Lindsey Duvall led NKU in scoring with 19 points. She went a perfect 6-for-6 from the charity stripe as well.

Grayson Rose and
Khamari Mitchell-Steen each finished in double figures with 12 and 11 points respectively.
· Rose posted a monster game on the glass, pulling down 18 total rebounds. She also posted six blocks in the contest as well.
FIRST HALF SUMMARY
· NKU started off hot in this conference contest, posting a 7-2 late in the first quarter to lead 13-6.
· Duvall led NKU in scoring to close out the opening quarter with seven total points.
· A total of five Norse scored in quarter number one, aiding NKU to a 15-11 lead.
· The Norse continued hitting shots into the second quarter, shooting 38.7 percent overall for the first half.
· Northern Kentucky closed out the opening half on a 10-6 run over the Phoenix, to lead 30-22 at halftime.
· Duvall shot 5-for-10 from the field and 3-for-6 from beyond the arc in the first half. She totaled 15 points in 20 total minutes.
SECOND HALF SUMMARY
· The Norse opened the third quarter with an 8-3 scoring run which saw Mitchell-Steen and
Emmy Souder each contributed buckets.
· Through three quarters Northern Kentucky held a 46-37 advantage over Green Bay.
· NKU shot 38.5 percent in the third quarter and went 6-for-7 from the free throw line.
· Rose continued to be a defensive force as she totaled five blocks through three quarters as well.
· The Phoenix posted a 6-2 scoring run to open the fourth quarter to cut the Norse lead to just 48-43.
· Turner drilled a jumper with 0:55 seconds remaining to give NKU a 56-50 lead.
· Both Turner and Souder helped cap off the 61-52 Horizon League victory with free throws.
GAME NOTES
· Rose's 18 rebounds and six blocks were each career-highs tonight.
· Duvall's 19 points continued her streak of scoring in double-digits since putting on a Norse uniform.
· NKU's victory over the Phoenix was the first-ever in Green Bay, Wisconsin since the two programs started competing against each other.

· Northern Kentucky remains in Wisconsin as they will travel south to face Milwaukee this Saturday, Nov. 20. The Norse and Panthers will tip off this Horizon League matchup at 11:30 a.m. (ET) as well.
