MILWAUKEE – The Northern Kentucky women's basketball team was tripped up on the road against Milwaukee by a final score of 61-49. The Norse fall to 2-2 (1-1 Horizon League) this season, while the Panthers improve to 2-3 (2-0 Horizon League).
STATS LEADERS

Grayson Rose continued to have a block party, totaling five against the Panthers.
· Rose also led Northern Kentucky on the glass, pulling down a total of 10 rebounds.
FIRST HALF SUMMARY

Emmy Souder anchored NKU in the opening quarter with six total points.
· Rose continued to be a rebounding force, totaling five in the opening period.
· These top tier Horizon League programs were knotted up at 10-10 overall through the first quarter as well.
· NKU orchestrated a 6-0 run late in the second quarter to hold down a 28-24 lead over Milwaukee.
· Souder got off to a hot start in the opening half, totaling 10 points to lead NKU.
· The Norse held a one-point advantage over the Panthers at halftime, 28-27.
SECOND HALF SUMMARY
· The Panthers jumped ahead to open the second half with a 5-0 scoring run to lead 35-30.
· Milwaukee saw a large scoring run midway through the third quarter at 14-4 to increase its lead to 47-34 over the Norse.
· The Norse struggled shooting in the third quarter, posting a field goal percentage of just 27 percent.
· Northern Kentucky opened the fourth quarter with a 7-2 run fueled by a fast break lay-up from Souder and a three from Duvall.
· NKU cooled off midway through the quarter, as a three-minute scoring drought saw the Panthers extend their lead once again to 57-46.
· Milwaukee continued to keep pressure on NKU, ultimately sealing the win at 61-49 by the final buzzer.
GAME NOTES
· Three-point shooting played a crucial role in this conference contest, as Milwaukee shot 33 percent, compared to NKU at only 18 percent beyond the arc.
· Both programs struggled to take care of the basketball, as NKU totaled 20 overall turnovers, and Milwaukee finished with 21.
· Rose is now tied all-time at number three with Janet Brungs in total blocks in NKU basketball history with 132.
· Duvall once again finished in double-digit scoring with 14 points, as she has yet to score less than 10 in a Norse uniform.

· The Norse continue playing on the road, as a trip to Oxford, Ohio is up next for NKU. Northern Kentucky will face Miami (OH) Wednesday, Nov. 24 at 6 p.m. in nonconference action.
