STATS LEADERS
- Marques Warrick led the Norse in the scoring column with 15 and went 6-of-12 (50 percent) from the field. Warrick added three rebounds to his game as well.
- David Böhm had six steals to go along with 12 points, four rebounds and two blocks.
FIRST HALF SUMMARY
- To start off the game, Nelson grabbed two offensive rebounds within the first minute and converted one for the first bucket of the contest.
- Vinson took control of the court with a fast-break layup followed by a steal and lay-in at the 12:23 mark. This run gave the Norse the lead, 14-12.
- Böhm's steal in the 11th minute converted to a triple, which was followed by Vinson with a swish from behind-the-arc. The assists were contributed by Faulkner and Nelson.
- For the next four minutes, NKU went on an 8-0 scoring frenzy fueled by Vinson, Faulkner, Robinson and Warrick. The run gave the Norse the 25-17 advantage.
- Brandon pumped up the crowd with the first jam of the game, assisted by Vinson at the 5:21 mark.
- Closing out the first half, Vinson secured the lead, 35-31, by driving through the paint and finishing with a layup.
SECOND HALF SUMMARY
- NKU started off the half hot with Warrick's and-one basket. It ignited an 11-0 run which put the Norse up 44-31.
- Faulkner gave Böhm the opportunity to contribute to his scoring column by converting a triple. Then after his assist, Faulkner found the rim himself and drilled a jumper.
- At the 13:43 mark, Böhm coasted through the paint and sealed in a good jumper continuing the Norse's large lead of 58-38.
- Hubertas Pivorius beautiful behind-the-back assist to Brandon with 7:59 left to play, gave the Norse a 13-point advantage.
- The Storm were held scoreless for 2:13 as the Norse went on a 5-0 run. Nelson started the run with a layup and Langdon followed his lead with a three pointer that was assisted by Böhm.
GAME NOTES
- At halftime, eight Norse contributed to their respected scoring column.
- The Norse forced 23 turnovers which allowed them to convert on the offensive side to the tune of 30 points.
- Nelson was one rebound shy of a double-double in the contest. Last year Nelson had six double-doubles in the season.
- 12 of Warrick's 15 points came within the second half of play.
- Most of tonight's points for NKU came straight from the paint totaling 46. NKU also dominated in fast breaks, gaining 17 points in play.

The Norse will compete in their first regular-season game at BB&T arena on Tuesday, Nov. 9. against Wheeling. Tip-off is at 7 p.m. and will be aired on ESPN+.
