Men's @NKUTennis completes a near-perfect day
CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. – Northern Kentucky men's tennis defeated Saint Francis 6-1 Saturday evening. The Norse move to 3-0 on the season while the Red Flash fall to 1-5.
Match Notables
- The No. 2 doubles match was the first to finish and saw Brandon Ponomarew and Anderseon McDowell of the Norse pull out a 6-2 victory.
- To ensure NKU would get the victory on the doubles-side, Andrew Niehaus and Nick Elleman won their match 6-4. Trevor Ball and Emilien Burnel also won their doubles match 6-3.
- Jorge Rodriguez played in the No. 3 singles match and was the first to finish, winning 6-2, 6-1. Showing up next on the winning column were Emilien Burnel (6-0, 6-2) and Santiago Casamayor (6-4, 6-4).
NKU will have a bye week before returning to play on Friday, March 5, at Five Seasons Sports Club.
