HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – College Insider has named Northern Kentucky men's basketball standout
Marques Warrick to its Kyle Macy Freshman All-America Team and a finalist for the Kyle Macy Award, presented to the nation's top freshman.
Warrick finished the season averaging 15.8 points per game while shooting 45 percent from the floor and 36 percent from three-point range. He was also tabbed Horizon League Freshman of the Year, and highlighted both the All-Freshman and All-Horizon League Third Teams.
The native of Lexington, Kentucky, had 10 20-point scoring efforts across Northern Kentucky's 25 games.
Warrick was instrumental in leading Northern Kentucky, one of the youngest team's in college basketball this year, to a third-place finish in the Horizon League standings and to its third-straight Horizon League Championship semifinals appearance.
