INDIANAPOLIS – The Northern Kentucky women's soccer team (6-1-1, 6-0-1 Horizon League) handed IUPUI (4-1-2) its first loss of the season with a 1-0 decision at Michael A. Carroll Stadium on Tuesday afternoon.
"Today we faced a seasoned and experienced IUPUI team that has had a great deal of success," said head coach Bob Sheehan. "We started the game off slow, in large part due to IUPUI's strong play, but we grew into the match as the game wore on. We have defended well all season and today was no different.
"We came out in the second half with much more confidence and energy and the flow of the game changed. Kiley did a great job of winning the corner kick and Lindsey executed the ensuing corner kick perfectly. Chloe was there and did well to put in the game-winner. This team has worked so hard all year and we are very proud of their performance."
