ROCHESTER, MI – The Northern Kentucky women's soccer program found itself on the wrong end of a 1-0 decision at the hands of Oakland in a Horizon League contest at the Oakland Soccer Stadium on Thursday night.

Kaya Vogt recorded the two NKU shots on target.
- Oakland may have held a 14-4 edge in attempted shots over Northern Kentucky, but the Golden Grizzlies finished with just two more shots on goal than the Norse (4 to 2).
- NKU snapped its three-game streak with double-digit shots attempted in the defeat.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Oakland attempted 10 shots on target in the opening half, but its only attempt on goal found the back of the net as the Grizzlies took a 1-0 lead at the 20th-minute.
- Despite a final 10-minute push by Northern Kentucky, Oakland took a 1-0 lead into the half.
- Neither side struck in the second as the Golden Grizzlies closed out the 1-0 conference win.
FOR THE FOES
- Carmela Barro found the back of the net for the Golden Grizzles in the contest. It was her second goal of the season.
- Nomi Stadelmann turned aside two NKU shots to post the clean sheet, her fourth shutout in a row to give her eight overall on the year.
