HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Northern Kentucky volleyball was tripped up Tuesday evening in a midweek Horizon League contest as the Raiders of Wright State swept the Norse inside Regents Hall.
Northern Kentucky (5-11, 3-2 Horizon) found themselves in a battle with arch rival Wright State (13-3, 5-0 Horizon), as an opening set late scoring run of four unanswered points saw the Norse tie up the game at 24-24. The Raiders managed to hang on for a 27-25 set one victory and would not falter for the remaining two sets. WSU took control of set two, winning it 25-15, and then ultimately won set three at 25-23, which included a lead of 17-12 over the Norse midway through.
