HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky women's basketball began the 2022-23 season with a bang as the Norse outlasted the Bison of Lipscomb University in a triple-overtime thriller Thursday evening inside Truist Arena.

- Duvall posted four overall career-highs against the Bisons with 36 points, 15 rebounds, 17 made free throws and 27 free throws attempted.
- Mitchell-Steen saw multiple career-highs as well with nine rebounds, seven made free throws and 12 free throws attempted.
- The last time Northern Kentucky won a triple-overtime game was back on December 1, 2011 agaisnt Saint Joseph's where the Norse won it 106-101 in Rensselaer, Ind.
- The last time NKU posted over 100 points in a game was on November 25, 2017 with the Norse defeating Oakland City 103-25.
- The Norse found themselves trailing Lipscomb by nine points in the second overtime period with just 2:38 remainiing and managed to fight back to tie up the game at 95-95 and force a third overtime.
- Northern Kentucky was locked in for the final overtime period of the night, outscoring the Bisons 6-0 to take the season-opener at 101-95.
