YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Northern Kentucky volleyball kept their high level of play rolling as the Norse took down Youngstown State on the road in straight sets Friday evening.
The Norse (16-12, 14-3 Horizon) found themselves in a lengthy battle in set number one against Youngstown State (14-14, 8-9 Horizon), but NKU rallied late and capture the opening game at 25-21 against YSU. Northern Kentucky turned up the heat on the Penguins in set two, hitting .545 overall as a team and dominated the game with a score at 25-12. Set number three saw a tight contest between these programs, until the Norse ripped off a 7-1 scoring run against YSU to win the set 25-18 and completed the sweep as well.
