HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky men's basketball program tied its NCAA Division I era record with a 4-0 start in Horizon League play as the Norse knocked off IUPUI, 55-42 in a conference showdown at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum on Saturday.

Marques Warrick continued to pace the Norse attack as he finished with a game-best 15 points to go with five assists, one rebound and a steal. The standout junior has now posted double-digit scoring in 13 of the 15 contests so far this season. In picking up the victory, Warrick now has 1,221 career points scored, the 22nd most all-time in NKU school history. He passed Mike Hofmeyer and his 1,208 points and sits just nine back of Shannon Minor for 21
st all-time (1,230 points).

Sam Vinson chipped in 12 points along with three boards, an assist and a steal.

Xavier Rhodes (nine points, three rebounds, three assists),
Trey Robinson (eight points, two boards, two steals),
Chris Brandon (four points, nine rebounds),
Imanuel Zorgvol (four points, four boards) and
Trevon Faulkner (three points, five rebounds) also contributed for NKU.
- Northern Kentucky continues to sit atop the Horizon League standings as the only remaining undefeated team in the conference. The Norse are a game up on both Milwaukee and Cleveland State, who are 3-1 overall, respectively.
- The Norse racked up 22 points in the paint and 23 points off turnovers. In the victory, NKU forced 20 IUPUI turnovers, which resulted in 12 steals. It was the third time this season that Northern Kentucky has forced 20 or more opponent turnovers.
- The 4-0 NKU start to conference play ties the NCAA DI era record, matching the 4-0 beginning to Horizon action to start the 2017-18 campaign.
- NKU improved to 5-0 on games played on the weekend.
- The victory was the first NKU road win so far this season.
