Win from within: @NKUNorse reaches 100% athletics staff giving for Norse student-athletes

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Northern Kentucky Athletics and the Go Norse Fund, NKU Athletics' fundraising arm, announce that 100% of its coaches and staff have participated in a giving initiative to support Norse student-athletes.

In conjunction with the NKU's university-wide Founders' Day effort March 16, a primary focus of the initiative was educating coaches and staff members on the importance of philanthropy and attaining 100% staff giving. The complete team-focused effort has uniquely positioned Norse Athletics as a leader in the Northern Kentucky and Cincinnati collegiate athletics landscape and provided elite commitment to over 240 student-athletes.

"Reaching full participation amongst our coaches and staff in the Go Norse Fund reflects the strong belief in NKU Athletics," said Deputy Athletics Director Dan McIver. "This effort is yet another example to our student-athletes and community that our entire athletics department is committed to the continual elevation of our student-athlete experience."

Gifts to the Go Norse Fund equip Northern Kentucky Athletics with additional operating revenue, enabling larger strategic investments in areas like student-athlete development, expanded recruiting efforts, enhanced nutrition, and advanced technologies to support sports medicine and sports performance.

"We have set a priority within the Go Norse Fund to educate and instill our athletics staff and donors with a culture of philanthropy. Our coaches and staff having clearly embraced this message and proved it with a full team Founders' Day effort. We cannot thank our staff enough for their selflessness and participation," said Assistant Athletics Director of Development Derek Petruskevich.

As the end of the fiscal and membership year approaches, the Go Norse Fund strongly encourages NKU alumni, athletic alumni, fans and friends to join 100% of our coaches and staff in enhancing the Norse student-athlete experience by making a gift to the Go Norse Fund today!
