Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) promotes communication between the athletic administration and student-athletes at Northern Kentucky by providing a student-athlete voice within the department, discussing issues and concerns and providing feedback as necessary. SAAC also serves in a leadership role, recruiting fellow student-athletes to serve the campus and the surrounding area through a variety of community service programs and events. In addition, SAAC enhances the relationships between the athletic department and Northern Kentucky University.
Each of the League's member institutions is represented by two student-athletes. Each of Northern Kentucky's athletic programs will see at least two student-athletes serve on the Norse SAAC as well.
Additionally, SAAC members from five institutions will serve as Cabinet members in the Horizon League governance structure while two student-athletes will also represent the student-athlete voice and hold one vote on the League Council, alongside all 11 Athletics Directors, one Faculty Athletics Representative and one Senior Woman Administrator.
