HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky men's basketball program and head coach Darrin Horn announced the 2022-23 Horizon League schedule for the Norse on Tuesday, a slate that features 20 games against conference foes.
 
"I think the league will be improved from top to bottom and so we expect, as always, the conference schedule to be a challenge" Horn said. "I just feel bad for our fans, especially our students, that our home game with Wright State is the week after Christmas and that as the league race heats up in February, we will finish with seven of our last eight games on the road."
 
NKU gets Horizon play underway with three straight home games in December. The Norse will host Youngstown State on Dec. 1, Robert Morris on Dec. 3, and Wright State on Dec. 29 at Truist Arena. The group then hits the road to close the month out at IUPUI on Dec. 31.
 
Six of Northern Kentucky's eight conference contests in January will also be played at home with games against Oakland on Jan. 6, Detroit on Jan. 8, Cleveland State on Jan. 19, Purdue Fort Wayne on Jan. 21, Green Bay on Jan. 26, and Milwaukee on Jan. 28. The Norse also have road matchups against Milwaukee on Jan. 12 and Green Bay on Jan. 14.
 
Fans and supporters will have just one chance to catch NKU in person in February, with the Norse's lone home game of the month set for Feb. 12 against IUPUI. Northern Kentucky will be forced on the road for seven of its eight contests of month, which includes showdowns at Robert Morris on Feb. 2, Youngstown State on Feb. 4, Wright State on Feb. 10, Purdue Fort Wayne on Feb. 17, Cleveland State on Feb. 19, Detroit Mercy on Feb. 23, and Oakland on Feb. 25.
