HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The fall schedule continues to roll on for Northern Kentucky Athletics as the Norse have six programs in action this week, highlighted by the lone home contest: women's soccer's Thursday night showdown against Horizon League foe IUPUI.
 
The week sees the season-opening match for men's tennis to go with action for men's soccer, volleyball, and men's and women's golf. Fall ball also continues for the Northern Kentucky softball program who will host a doubleheader on both Saturday and Sunday at the NKU Softball Stadium.
 

MEN'S SOCCER

The Northern Kentucky men's soccer team is coming off a crucial Horizon League victory over the Mastodons of Purdue Fort Wayne last week at Scudamore Field, beating PFW 3-0. This was the first shutout of the season for NKU as well. NKU will now see a pair of road matches this week, beginning with a trip to Western Illinois on Tuesday. The Norse conclude the week with a conference match against rival Wright State on the road from Dayton on Saturday.
 
 
WOMEN'S SOCCER

The Norse women's soccer program has two games on the docket this week, a home matchup against IUPUI on Thursday at 7 PM ET at NKU Soccer Stadium, followed by a showdown at Cleveland State on Sunday at 1 PM.

NKU women's volleyball is set for Horizon League play after coming off a huge five-set victory over reigning MAC champion Ball State last week. The Norse will first take on Oakland in Rochester, Michigan on Friday evening at 6 PM ET and then finish the week off with a conference bout against Cleveland State on Saturday at 4 PM.

Northern Kentucky men's golf hits the links once again this fall, competing in the Valpo Fall Invitational, hosted by Valparaiso. This two-day tournament will be held in Chesterton, Ind., from the Sand Creek Country Club with shotgun starts set for 8 AM ET each day.

The Norse men's tennis program will make their 2022 fall debut as the team makes the short trip north to Dayton, Ohio to compete in the James O'Connell Memorial Tournament this weekend. The two-day event will be held at the Graul Tennis Complex and results from each day will be posted on NKUNorse.com. 


WOMEN'S GOLF
Sunday at UIC's Briar Ridge Invite (All Day)
 
Northern Kentucky women's golf is back in action this coming Sunday, as the Norse will travel over to Schereville, Ind. to compete in the Briar Ridge Invite hosted at the Briar Ridge Country Club. This tournament will run through Monday of the following week as well.
