BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Northern Kentucky volleyball secured their first win of the season after defeating the Blue Demons of DePaul in five sets during day two of the Falcon Invitational presented by Hampton Inn.
The Norse (1-4, 0-0 Horizon) battled back from from a 2-1 set deficit to comeback and beat DePaul (0-5, 0-0 Big East) in thrilling fashion. Northern Kentucky clipped the Blue Demons in set number four 25-18 to force a fifth and final set, which featured a gritty performance from the the Norse once again for a 16-14 set win.

The Norse will conclude their time in Bowling Green, Ohio tomorrow, Saturday, Sept. 3, as NKU will square-off with No. 22 nationally ranked Western Kentucky in a neutral site match. This nonconference contest will be the third and final match for the Norse in the Falcon Invitational presented by Hampton Inn and is slated for a 12 p.m. (ET) start inside the Stroh Center.
