HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Six home games in Truist Arena that include showdowns with local rival Cincinnati, Kent State and Eastern Kentucky, highlight the Northern Kentucky men's basketball non-conference schedule, head coach
Darrin Horn announced on Monday.
The complete non-conference slate features 12 regular-season contests in total, that also includes a trip to Fort Myers for the three-game Florida Gulf Coast Showcase prior to the Thanksgiving holiday.
HOME NON-CONFERENCE SCHEDULE
Northern Kentucky kicks off the 2022-23 campaign with an exhibition against Tiffin on Monday, October 24.
The regular season will feature four home contests in November, highlighted by the Nov. 16 showdown with local rival Cincinnati.
The Norse will also play host to the MAC's Kent State (Nov. 7) and Ohio foe UC Clermont (Nov. 12) during the month before hitting the road for the Florida Gulf Coast Showcase (Nov. 21-23).
NKU ends November with a clash against Tennessee Tech on Nov. 27.
As the calendar flips to December, two non-conference home games join the slate as Northern Kentucky welcomes in-state rival Eastern Kentucky (Dec. 14) and Miami-Hamilton (Dec. 18).
AWAY NON-CONFERENCE SCHEDULE
The month of November will feature four road contests but just two trips in total with the Norse playing Transylvania in another exhibition game on Nov. 1, followed by the Florida Gulf Coast Showcase that runs Nov. 21-23.
The holiday showcase will consist of NKU, FGCU, Drexel, Toledo, East Carolina, Kansas City, Indiana State and UT Arlington. All three games will be
streamed in front of a national audience on FloHoops.
Two more road tilts will be played in December, highlighted by a clash with the Pac 12's Washington State on Dec. 7. The non-conference schedule comes to a concludes with a tilt against Florida Atlantic on Dec. 21.
