BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Northern Kentucky volleyball continue play at the Holiday Inn - University Plaza Invite, hosted by No. 21 nationally ranked Western Kentucky, as the Norse fell to Toledo in straight sets Friday afternoon.
NKU (1-7, 0-0 Horizon) traded points with the Rockets of Toledo (5-2, 0-0 MAC) early in the opening set, and ultimately held a lead of 7-4. Toledo however created multiple scoring runs to jump ahead of the Norse and claim set one at 25-20. The Rockets then controlled the pace and momentum of this nonconference bout for sets two and three, winning each at 25-15 adn 25-17 to complete the sweep.
