Men’s Basketball wins third consecutive game to remain atop the #HLMBB standings

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky men's basketball program pushed its winning streak to three consecutive games as the Norse downed Purdue Fort Wayne in a blowout win, 74-54 inside Truist Arena on Saturday evening.
 
With the victory, Northern Kentucky remains atop the Horizon League standings, tied with Milwaukee at 8-2 overall in conference play.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Marques Warrick paced the Norse attack with a team-best 18 points on a 7-of-13 night from the field. He also added five rebounds, two assists and two steals. The Lexington, Kentucky native moved into 15th all-time in school history with the scoring output and now sits with 1,330 career points. He moved passed Ryan Schrand and his 1,329 career points on the evening.
- Sam Vinson made it back-to-back games with a season-best in points as he dropped in 17 points to go with six boards, four assists and three steals.
- Trevon Faulkner added another big game off the bench with 14 points, four assists and two steals. With his five made shots, Faulkner now has 524 career field goals made, good for 10th all-time in school history. He also tied Tony Rack with 160 three's, a mark that ranks 14th all-time at NKU.
- Trey Robinson made it four Norse in double-digits with 11 points, five boards and an assist. Robinson was a big force in righting the ship for NKU in the opening half, as the Hamilton, Ohio native dropped his 11 points all in a row from 6:56 to 4:22 in the opening half as NKU started to pull away.
- NKU improved to 6-1 on the year when four student-athletes reach double-digits in points.
- The Norse are also now a perfect 8-0 on contests played on the weekend.
