INDIANAPOLIS – Northern Kentucky University men's soccer senior Roberto Burlew was named the Horizon League Under Armour Offensive Player of the Week for the first during the 2023 season as was announced by the conference office on Monday. 

"Roberto had a big match for us on Saturday," said head men's soccer coach Tom Poitras. "He played a major role in our team picking up an important win with his overall match, and his goals were well earned and deserved. Roberto has played really well this season and has been willing to help the team in whatever role we have asked of him. Happy for hsi recognition this week."

Burlew, a senior from Cincinnati, Ohio, helped lead NKU to a 3-2 victory over Milwaukee on the road this past Saturday to give the Norse a much-needed late season boost as they make a push towards the Horizon League Championship Tournament

He went on to net goals in the 31' minute and the 83' minute in the victory over the Panthers on the road, which were his first and second of the season and his third and fourth all-time in a Norse uniform.
 
The Northern Kentucky men's soccer program are back in action next on Saturday, October 28 as the Norse will host Purdue Fort Wayne in yet another Horizon League clash. NKU and the Mastodons will meet inside NKU Soccer Stadium at 1 p.m. (ET) and it will be senior day from Scudamore Field prior to the start of the match. This conference contest will be broadcasted on ESPN+ as well.
