HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky women's soccer team will get their bags packed for Milwaukee as the Norse are heading North for the Horizon League Semifinals after they knocked off visiting Detroit Mercy, 1-0, in the conference quarterfinals at NKU Soccer Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Megan Molner broke the scoreless tie in the 76th-minute as she buried a perfect one-timer set up by
Meghan Belrose and
Emilie Doersching. Molner joined the rush and went straight to the net to finish off her chance as the freshman scored her second goal of the campaign.
- The Norse completed dominated the match with an edge in shots (15 to 1), shots on target (4 to 0) and corner kicks (7 to 0).
- It was the first post season win for the Norse since NKU knocked off Purdue Fort Wayne by a 1-0 margin in the Horizon League Quarterfinals back on October 31, 2021.
- It was also the first time this season that NKU did not allow a shot on target to the opposition.

The Norse now head North to Milwaukee to take on No. 2 seed IUPUI in the Horizon League Semifinals on Thursday, November 2 at the Panthers's Engelmann Stadium. Kick is set for 5 PM ET and the
match will be played in front of a national audience on ESPN+.
