SEATTLE – The Northern Kentucky men's basketball program held with the Pac-12's Washington all night, but in the end the Norse were on the wrong side of a hard fought 75-67 loss to the Huskies in a non-conference clash at Alaska Airlines Arena on Thursday night.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Washington jumped out to a quick 11-6 lead at the 16:36 mark into the contest, but that is when Northern Kentucky answered with a 13-3 run over the next eight minutes of play to make it 19-14 with 8:22 left in the first.
- NKU took its largest lead of the game with a 22-16 advantage at the 7:38 mark and a 24-18 edge at 7:24.
- The Huskies ended the opening half on a 23-11 run to take a 41-35 lead into the locker room.
- Northern Kentucky battled and kept the game within reach throughout the entire second half. The Norse got as close as six on six different occasions in the final 20 minutes but in the end, Washington was able pull away with the 75-67 victory.

Sam Vinson and
Keeyan Itejere paced the NKU attack with a team-best 14 points apiece. Vinson also led the Norse in rebounds (eight) and tied for second on the squad in assists (two) while Itejere had a game-high three blocks. Itejere went a perfect 5-of-5 from the field, which included multiple plays fit for the highlight reels.

Michael Bradley had a solid game running the point with 11 points and a team-best seven assists. He also added two boards and a steal. Both his points and assists totals were NCAA Division I highs for the transfer from Mercyhurst.

LJ Wells made his presence felts down low as the sophomore chipped in 10 points, four rebounds, two rejections and two swipes in 22 minutes of action. It was the second double-digit scoring game of the Eau Claire, Wisconsin native's career.

Trey Robinson added seven points and five rebounds,
Marques Warrick had six points and four boards and
Cade Meyer posted five points and two rebounds.
