HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky men's basketball program will play host to the University of the Cumberlands on Thursday, December 14 inside Truist Arena.
The matchup between the Norse and Patriots will be the 14th meeting all-time between the two Kentucky institutions and the first since an 80-64 NKU victory back on November 19, 1994.
Northern Kentucky is fresh off a Horizon League Championship and the program's fourth bid to the NCAA Tournament in the past seven years after the Norse posted a 22-13 record overall in 2022-23. To go with the return of NKU's big three in
Marques Warrick,
Sam Vinson and
Trey Robinson, the Norse went out and added a plethora of talent in both the transfer portal and from the high school ranks for a squad that will be one of the favorites in the Horizon once again this upcoming season.
Cumberlands is coming off a 17-12 season in 2022-23, which included an appearance in the Mid-South Conference postseason tournament.
