CINCINNATI – The Northern Kentucky volleyball program was defeated in heartbreaking fashion Friday night inside the Cintas Center from Cincinnati, Ohio against Kennesaw State in a neutral site matchup.

Joy Banks turned in a career performance against the Owls of KSU, with a high 17 kills to lead the Norse offensive unit. Those 17 kills were a career-high for the junior, who also added a hitting percentage of .308 and a kill percentage of .436 to fuel the attack. Banks finished with nine digs, two blocks, and one service ace as well to fill out her stat sheet.

Abby Kanakry provided 11 kills on the evening on 37 swings with four blocks and five digs as well.

Anna Burke picked up 20 digs against Kennesaw State, her fourth match of the season with 20 or more digs.
