HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The strong 2023 campaign for the Northern Kentucky women's soccer program hit a slight road bump as the Norse were knocked off by Horizon League leading Milwaukee by a 3-1 margin at NKU Soccer Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Sofia Wilmes found the back of the net for the Norse in the 65th-minute off an assist from
Jamie Lehker. The goal was Wilmes's second of the season and 10th of her career. It was also the first assist for Lehker on the year and the second overall of her five-year NKU career.

Maria Wiefering all posted shots on target for the Norse.

Mickayla Kowalski recorded five saves in between the pipes for NKU.
- The Panthers did their damage with goals in the 44th, 57th and 70th-minute.
- Milwaukee finished the match with an edge in shots (ten to four), shots on target (eight to three) and corner kicks (seven to four).

The Norse will hit the road for another Horizon showdown against conference foe Green Bay on Thursday, October 5. Kick is set for 1 PM ET and the match will be
