HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky women's basketball team posted another hard-fought effort to the final whistle but found itself on the wrong side of a 96-81 decision to Horizon League foe IUPUI in a conference clash in The Jungle on Sunday.

NORSE NOTES
- McCray continued to show why she is not only one of the best freshmen in the conference, but one of the best centers in the league as well as she went for her fifth double-double of the season. She tied her season and career-best with 25 points and set a season-high in both made free throws (seven) and blocks (three). McCray continues to lead the Horizon in rebounding (9.7 boards per contest) and has improved all the way up to sixth in the league in scoring (13.5 points per game).
- Blevins set a season-best in made field goals (10) and tied her season-high in steals (two). Her 22 points were the second-most put up by the transfer standout so far this year. She has now gone for double-digit points in eight games this season.
- Davis tied her career-best with eight assists on the afternoon.
- IUPUI jumped out to a 19-8 lead in the first and took a 37-21 edge into the half.
- The two sides exploded in the third quarter as both teams posted 30-plus points in the 10 minutes of action. The Jaguars improved their lead to 70-51 as the game moved to the fourth.
- It was all offense again for the Norse in the final frame as they won the final frame by a 30-26 margin, but in the end, it was too late as IUPUI collected the 96-81 win.
- The 81 points were the second most posted by Northern Kentucky in a game so far this year.
- The Norse posted 52 points in the paint and recorded 29 bench points.
