HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. — Northern Kentucky women's soccer wrapped up a two-match home stand on Sunday, as the Norse hosted and defeated IU Indy at NKU Soccer Stadium.
The 2-1 victory marked the fourth win in five matches for the Norse, extending the unbeaten streak to five matches. NKU's 13 conference points are tied for second in the Horizon League with Milwaukee, trailing only Detroit Mercy.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Northern Kentucky and IU Indy played a physical first half, with the Norse holding an 8-1 advantage in shots going into halftime. Both teams were unable to find the back of the net in the first 45.
- Meghan Belrose opened the scoring in the 62nd minute after a beautiful build by the Norse. Kylie Anderson and Lilly Yordy were credited with assists.
- Lydia Self gave the Norse a two goal lead in the 85th minute with an unassisted goal. Self gained possession after a scramble in the box and netted what ended up being the game-winning goal.
- IU Indy netted a goal right after Self's goal, but the Norse held on for the win.
