GREEN BAY, Wis. — Northern Kentucky women's volleyball looked to break a cold streak heading into Friday night's matchup with Green Bay but fell to the Phoenix in a three-set sweep. With just five matches remaining in the season, the Norse now find themselves jockeying for the final spot in the Horizon League Championship.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Sydney Bray had a solid night attacking for the Norse, posting a line of 12-4-24 while adding four digs.
- Joy Banks finished with 13 kills leading the way for Northern Kentucky.
- Lucy Cluxton's 20 digs led both teams in the match.
- Lainey Green finished tops on the Norse in assists with 27.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Norse fought hard in every set, but couldn't capitalize late, losing 25-22, 25-20, 25-22.
- In set one, neither team ever held a lead larger than three. At one point, NKU held a 17-14 lead, but a 4-0 run by the Phoenix gave the home side all the momentum on their way to a set one win.
- Northern Kentucky jumped out to an early 5-2 lead in set two, but that was their largest lead of the set. Green Bay drew even with a 5-0 run a few points later, and a late run clinched the set for the Phoenix.
- Set three saw another contested game from both sides, but the Phoenix pulled away late again to secure victory.

Northern Kentucky seeks to get one back against the Phoenix in its final road match of the regular season, on Saturday at 3 PM.
