2025 G/F Ryan Tolliver signs with Norse Men's Basketball

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. — Northern Kentucky head men's basketball coach Darrin Horn has announced the first signee of NKU's next recruiting class, as Ryan Tolliver has signed to continue his both his academic and basketball career at Northern Kentucky University. 

"We are excited to get a player of Ryan's size and talent," said Coach Horn. "He was a priority for us early on because He is a gifted scorer with great versatility that will excel in our system. His length gives him the ability to become an excellent defender and rebounder as well."

Tolliver, a 6'7 guard/forward combo from West Hartford, Connecticut, is currently in his senior year at Northwest Catholic High School, where he plays for head coach John Mirabella. During his junior year, the Lions finished 17-6 overall and 7-1 in the league with a #3 overall rank in the state of Connecticut. 

Individually, Tolliver was a double-double threat every night, averaging 12.5 PPG and 8.1 REB while adding 3.0 assists per night and shooting 88% from the free throw line. He got it done on the defensive end of the floor as well with 2.0 steals and 1.5 blocks per game. 

His stellar play earned him All-Central Connecticut Conference honors, as well as MVP honors at the HoopHall Classic played at the basketball Hall of Fame. 

Tolliver played on the AAU circuit for Connecticut Elite under coach Jason Perrier. He was selected to play for the Puerto Rico U18 National Team last summer as well.
