HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. -- Northern Kentucky men's basketball played its fourth game in 11 days on Saturday with an opportunity to win a fifth straight game as the Norse hosted South Carolina State.
The Norse continued their current winning streak, now at five games, with a win in a defensive battle over the Bulldogs.

BOX SCORE BREAKDOWN
- Trey Robinson was the game's leading scorer, finishing with 20 points -- his fourth game with 20+ this season and third this month. Robinson grabbed five rebounds and had a pair of assists, including an incredible behind-the-back pass.
- Sam Vinson scored 12 points, grabbed five boards and dished out three assists. Vinson had a steal as well.
- Jeramiah Israel made timely plays in his 14 minutes for NKU. Israel finished with four points, three rebounds, and an assist.
- Randall Pettus scored eight points, had three rebounds, and a team-high four steals.
- Keeyan Itejere finished with six points, five boards, and a pair of blocked shots.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Following a back-and-forth first half, NKU trailed by three at the break. SC State shot 8-14 from 3PT range in the first half.
- The second half was a dominant performance on the defensive end by NKU. The Norse held SC State to just 13 points (0-9 3PT, 3-21 FG). SC State scored just six points from the field in the half.
