COLUMBIA, Mo. – A football game broke out as the Northern Kentucky baseball team fell by a 28-10 margin to Southeastern Conference (SEC) foe Missouri inside Taylor Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Liam McFadden-Ackman went 1-for-2 overall with one home run, two RBI and a run scored.

Treyvin Moss added a 1-for-4 performance to go with two RBI and two runs scored.

Mitch Wood continued his hot start to the year with a 1-for-3 showing. He added a homer, two RBI and two runs scored on the afternoon.

Logen Devenport chipped in a 2-for-3 day with one RBI and a walk.

Jake Altman went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Jake Johnson came around to score twice for NKU.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Missouri put the game away early with 14 runs in the bottom of the first.
- NKU's bats woke up with two runs in the top of the third, three in the fifth and five more in the sixth as they attempted to battle back.
- The damage was already done however, and Mizzou added one run in the bottom of the second, one in the third, three in the fourth and another nine in the sixth to close out the blowout win.
