CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky men's tennis program's storybook season rolls on as the Norse knocked off conference foe Chicago State by a 5-2 margin in a Horizon League match inside Five Seasons Sports Club on Sunday afternoon.
With the victory, NKU clinched second overall in the Horizon's North Division at 6-2 in conference play. The Norse also posted the second-best mark out of all Horizon League schools in conference matches, regardless of division.
It has been a record-setting year for Northern Kentucky in 2023-24. The team set the school record for most conference wins in a season in NKU's NCAA Division I era (six) to go with tying the NCAA DI mark for most victories overall during a single campaign (12).
The Norse's second place performance in the conference was also the best finish in the Horizon standings since 2021.

It is now championship season for the Norse as Northern Kentucky prepares for the 2024 Horizon League Championship. NKU, the No. 2 seed out of the North Division, will take on Tennessee Tech, the No. 3 seed out of the South Division, in the Horizon League Quarterfinals on Friday, April 26. The match will get underway at 11 AM ET inside the Schawrtz Tennis Center at Purdue University.
