HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky track & field programs were awarded for their stellar work in the classroom as both the men's and women's teams were recognized as United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Team honorees.
As a unit, the women's squad led the way as the group combined to post a 3.525 cumulative grade point average, the sixth-best mark recorded by a team this Spring at NKU. The men's team was right behind with a 3.154 GPA, another strong performance after a record-setting year for the program for highest GPA recorded in team history in 2022-23.

From a conference perspective, six Horizon League men's teams and seven women's programs were awarded with USTFCCCA honors.
Northern Kentucky was also just one of six Horizon institutions to have both its men's and women's teams awarded with All-Academic distinction.
To be eligible for the USTFCCCA All-Academic team awards, all student-athletes on the institution's NCAA Squad List for Indoor and/or Outdoor Track & Field must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale, which includes the most recent grading period.
