HOW IT HAPPENED
- Belrose broke the scoreless draw with her goal in the 27th minute off a perfect tic-tac-toe play from
Emilie Doersching and
Caitlin Evans. Evans took the ball at midfield and sent a perfect ball ahead to Doersching who crossed it over to Belrose for the tally.
- It was all the scoring that would take place between the two sides as NKU took a 1-0 lead after 45 minutes of play.
- It didn't take long for the Norse to add to their advantage as the senior duo of Self and Yordy teamed up for the next goal in the 52nd minute. Off a free kick, Yordy sent the ball right into the box where Self was waiting to give the Norse a 2-0 edge.
- Northern Kentucky struck right again the 56th minute as Anderson was on the right side of a NKU header from Vogt to make it a 3-0 contest.
- Green Bay was able to get on the board with a goal of its own in the 78th minute, but by then it was too little, too late as NKU collected the 3-1 conference victory.
