HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky – The Northern Kentucky volleyball team bounced back in a big way Saturday afternoon, taking down the South Dakota Coyotes in straight sets at Regents Hall for its first home victory in 2024.
The Norse put together a complete performance in front of the home crowd, posting a .337 hitting percentage of their own while limiting USD to just .088 in a sweep. NKU's 10 blocks marked a season-high, with
Allie Siefke's seven leading the way.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Joy Banks tallied another dominant performance, totaling 15 kills and seven digs in the win. Banks was highly efficient for NKU, hitting .452.
- Allie Siefke dominated at the net, posting seven total blocks with four block solos. She added four kills in the victory.
- Lucy Cluxton played a big role defensively for the Norse, finishing with a match-high 17 digs.
- Torie Houston paced the Norse in assists with 22.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Northern Kentucky dominated the first set and cruised to a 25-11 victory. The Norse hit an astounding .406 in the first set while holding South Dakota to a mere .071 hitting percentage.
- It took extra points, but NKU pushed South Dakota to the brink with a 27-25 win in the second set. Northern Kentucky had five blocks during the set, including the winning block solo from Allie Siefke.
- The Norse capitalized on an early 5-0 lead in the final set and held on to sweep the Coyotes 3-0.
