FORT WAYNE, Ind.  – Northern Kentucky Norse Women's Basketball faced a tough test on Saturday afternoon, taking on Purdue Fort Wayne, a squad undefeated in conference play and riding the nation's eighth-longest winning streak at ten games. After a solid start from the Norse that saw them lead by as much as seven in the second quarter, the Mastodons shut down NKU on both ends of the court and coasted to a 24-point victory.

BOX SCORE BREAKDOWN
- Mya Meredith led the Norse with 17 points, going 8-15 from the field, and grabbing four rebounds. Meredith has now scored in double figures in five of her last six games. 
- Halle Idowu finished with a great all-around stat line, as she finished with 10 points, eight rebounds, and a career-high seven assists, and two steals. 
- Kamora Morgan came off the bench and scored eight points and grabbed five rebounds. 
 
NORSE NOTES
- The Norse got off to a blazing start, shooting 11-16 from the floor and 4-6 from three in the first quarter. They cooled off in the second, shooting 38% in the period, but going 5-32 and 1-14 from three in the second half killed any chance of a second-half comeback. 
- Mya Meredith scored 13 of her 17 points in the first half, but Lauren Ross's 20 first-half points proved difficult for NKU to contain. Purdue Fort Wayne's defense was the story of the second half, as they forced 11 Norse turnovers and just five made field goals.
