Women’s Volleyball bounces back with road win over Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE, Wis. – Northern Kentucky University Norse women's volleyball hit the road this weekend, taking on Milwaukee in a pair of matches. Entering the matchup, the Norse were tied atop the Horizon League standings with Wright State, and looked to remain at the top with a big road win. The Norse were able to do just that, taking down the Panthers in four sets.

RECORDS: Northern Kentucky: 9-8 (5-1 HL), MKE: 3-16 (3-3 HL)

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
– NKU dominated in both kills and total attacks, getting off 31 more attacks than the Panthers and also hitting it more efficiently as they won the kill battle 60-41. 
– Offensively, it was again a team effort for NKU as four separate Norse tallied double-digit kills, with Allison Risley going for a ten-kill, 19-dig double-double. 
– Ivey Stocks led the Norse in kills with 15, and hit a remarkable .591 on the night. She also tallied three block assists.
– Ava Hoying (14-5-44) and Sydney Bray (13-6-34) also posted solid attacking numbers on the night. Bray finished the night with eight digs while Hoying racked up six kills and two blocks. 
– Abby Pickard continued to shine with 50 assists on the night, a match-high. She also tied Stocks for the individual blocks lead with three.
– Lucy Cluxton led the Norse in digs with 21 on the night.

NKU takes on Milwaukee again on Saturday afternoon, with first serve set for 2 PM ET.
