CINCINNATI, Ohio — Northern Kentucky University Norse men's and women's swimming opened up the 2025-26 season on Friday, swimming at Cincinnati to start the season.

The Norse women set program records in every event they competed in, as Chloe Loftis was the only rostered swimmer for the Norse in 2024-25. 

Northern Kentucky's men's team set four program records, all in the butterfly and backstroke races. AJ Gomez had a standout performance, breaking both the 100 & 200 butterfly program records while also winning both races, as he was the only Norse on the day to win an event with a Bearcat competing. In the backstroke, Isaac Barrow set a 100 program record while David Barnett eclipsed the program record in the 200.
