Norse rally from behind to down Robert Morris, 3-2

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky University women's volleyball team capped its weekend series against Robert Morris with a come-from-behind five-set victory on Saturday afternoon inside Regents Hall. The Norse completed the reverse sweep to outlast the Colonials, 3-2 (21-25, 21-25, 25-11, 28-26, 15-13).

With the win, NKU improved to 12-8 overall and 8-1 in Horizon League play, taking sole possession of first place in the conference standings.

– NKU claimed the victory by set scores of 21-25, 21-25, 25-11, 28-26, 15-13.
– The Norse hit .189 as a team while totaling 67 kills and 14 blocks.
– Allison Risley led the offense with a match-high 20 kills and added 18 digs for a double-double.
– Sydney Bray also posted a double-double with 18 kills and 21 digs.
– Setter Abby Pickard guided the attack with 55 assists and contributed 19 digs.
– Libero Lucy Cluxton recorded 20 digs and added three service aces.
– Ivey Stocks was a force at the net, tallying eight block assists and one solo block.
 
UP NEXT
Northern Kentucky returns home next weekend to host Purdue Fort Wayne on Friday, Oct. 24, at 6 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 25, at 2 p.m. Friday's match marks NKU's annual Dig Pink game to raise breast cancer awareness. In partnership with St. Elizabeth Healthcare, fans in attendance will receive a special bag giveaway.
