Women’s Volleyball extends win streak to six with Saturday sweep over Purdue Fort Wayne

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Northern Kentucky University Norse women's volleyball won its sixth straight Horizon League match on Saturday afternoon, as they completed a six-set weekend sweep of Purdue Fort Wayne. NKU maintained its first-place league standing with the win, as the Norse continue to dominate Horizon League competition, winning 32 of 40 sets played in conference play.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
– Northern Kentucky bested Purdue Fort Wayne in every major statistical category, including kills, 51-35, hitting percentage, .407-.189, digs, 5-46, and blocks, 7-3. 
– Allison Risley posted a double-double with 16 kills, 12 digs, four aces, and a .517 hitting percentage. 
– Ava Hoying racked up double-digit kills on the night, going 13 for 24 on attacks with no errors. 
– Sydney Bray totaled nine kills, nine digs, and four blocks. 
– Abby Pickard put up 40 assists, averaging over 13 per set. 
– Ivey Stocks (six kills, four blocks) and Kendall Hopewell (six kills, three blocks) put up solid individual performances. Libero Lucy Cluxton had ten digs and six assists on the night. 

UP NEXT
In a massive midweek clash, the Norse travel to Dayton to take on nearby rivals, Wright State. The match is set for a 6 PM start on Tuesday, October 28.
