HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Northern Kentucky University Norse men's basketball battled with Wofford on Wednesday as NKU looked to extend its win streak to four straight. Both teams battled throughout the first half, but like on Monday against EKU, the Norse pulled away late for a double-digit victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED
– Both teams struggled early on offense, as a Wofford three at the 15:27 mark was the first made field goal of the game. NKU made ten straight free throws to start, and hit its first field goal at the 13:00 mark. A remarkable amount of fouls called made it difficult for either team to dictate the pace of the game, but the Norse led for the final 12 minutes of the half, holding a two-point lead at the break.
– Wofford took an early lead in the second half, one they held for ten-plus minutes in the period. A huge three by
Dan Gherezgher right before the under-eight media timeout gave NKU a four-point lead, helping shift momentum NKU's way. The two squads kept battling down the stretch, as back-to-back buckets from
Kael Robinson late lifted NKU's lead to four. Gherezgher buried a dagger three-pointer with 48 seconds left to give NKU a seven-point lead, and the Norse held on for a ten-point win.
