CLEVELAND, Ohio - Northern Kentucky University Norse women's basketball took on Cleveland State on Tuesday morning, with the Norse hungry for their first conference win of the season. A slow start put the Norse in an early hole, and NKU wasn't able to recover in a double-digit loss to the Vikings.

- Northern Kentucky lost the turnover battle 18-8, as nine different Norse recorded a turnover.
- The Norse won the rebounding battle, 41-34, including 11-6 on the offensive glass, as NKU scored 13 second-chance points. 
- The Vikings outshot the Norse on all three levels, as the Norse shot 35.7% from the field, 28% from three, and 50% from the free throw line. CSU went 44.3% from the field, 39.1% from distance, and 68.8% from the line. 
- NKU was able to cut the Viking lead from 18 in the third quarter down to six to start the fourth, but the Norse were outscored by nine in the final period. 
- Karina Bystry again led the Norse with another 20-point performance, going 6-12 from the field, 4-10 from three, and 4-5 from the line. She also grabbed six rebounds. 
- Maddie Moody was NKU's leading rebounder with nine. She also had ten points, two assists, and two steals. 
- Mia Jordan had six points, six rebounds, two assists, and a block.
