Women’s Basketball drops home contest to Purdue Fort Wayne

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Right in the middle of the pack in the Horizon League standings, Northern Kentucky Norse Women's Basketball looked to improve their standing as they welcomed in second-place Purdue Fort Wayne on Thursday night. The Mastodons dominated in both points off turnovers and points in the paint, earning a twelve-point victory over the Norse.

BOX SCORE BREAKDOWN
- Halle Idowu finished with 14 points, eight rebounds, three steals, and two assists.
- Kalissa Lacy had another great game shooting the ball off the bench with 14 points with three three-point makes, and adding three assists and two steals. 
- Noelle Hubert scored eight points and grabbed three rebounds. 
- Jaci Jones dished out five assists, scored six points, and grabbed five rebounds. 

NORSE NOTES
- Purdue Fort Wayne doubled up in the paint on the Norse, scoring 50 of their 69 points near the rim. 
- The Mastodons' full-court pressure forced the Norse into a swell of errors as the Norse recorded 21 turnovers, and PFW capitalized with 24 points off of those turnovers. 
- After going down 19 points in the third quarter, the Norse stormed back to make it a six-point game a few minutes into the fourth. The Mastodons responded with a 9-2 run, an controlled the game the rest of the way to seal the victory.
