CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Northern Kentucky Men's Tennis team looked to continue its hot streak on Saturday, taking on Cleveland State. The Norse entered the conference matchup winners of their last four, most recently defeating Chicago State twice to start Horizon League play 2-0.
NKU fell in the doubles point as
Jacob Rouleau-Mailly and
Xavier Ecarma fell 6-2 in the #1 match while
Jackson Poulos and
Emilio Bravo dropped their match 6-1 in the #2 slot.
Hector Salvador Civera and
Dugan Fowler's #3 match was abandoned when they were down 5-3.
In the singles competition, all Norse failed to win a set. Rouleau-Mailly put up a good fight in the #1 slot falling 7-5, 6-4.
Hector Salvador Civera lost his first set in the #5 slot by just two games, the second closest loss of any Norse.
