Softball takes road loss to Bellarmine

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Northern Kentucky University Norse Softball resumed action on Wednesday, as the Norse took on Bellarmine in Louisville. 

The Norse fell behind the Knights early and never caught back up, dropping the road contest 6-1. 

THE BASICS
FINAL SCORE: Northern Kentucky – 1, Bellarmine – 6
LOCATION: Knights Field - Louisville, Ky. 
RECORDS: NKU 18-20 (9-5 HL), BELL 7-26 (2-13 ASUN)
 
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Kyndall Ford got the start in the circle for the Norse. The freshman pitched three innings, allowing three earned runs, five hits, and four walks. 
- Alicia Flores relieved Ford in the fourth, and she finished the game with three innings pitched, four strikeouts, no walks, two runs, and four hits allowed.
- NKU tallied just two hits, as Campbell Beatty and Brielle DiMemmo both singled in the game. 

NORSE NOTES
- Bellarmine struck first in the second inning, scoring a pair of runs on two hits and an NKU error. 
- Campbell Beatty drove in the lone run for the Norse in the top of the third, bringing home Mack Brow on an RBI single. 
- The Knights bounced back with two runs in the third, then scored one apiece in the fifth and sixth innings. 

NEXT UP
Northern Kentucky University Norse Softball has the weekend off before taking on Bellarmine on the road next Wednesday.
