RICHMOND, Ky. — Northern Kentucky baseball was unable to win a second straight game and secure a season sweep on Tuesday, as the Norse dropped a midweek contest to EKU on the road.
One big inning proved to be a backbreaker for the Norse in the loss.

- Jake Altman hit his first homer of the year for NKU.
- Braylen Harlamert notched a hit and a walk.
- Tyler Shaneyfelt had a hit and drew a pair of walks.
- NKU combined to steal three bases.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- NKU went up early on an RBI single from Josh Williams in the first.
- Trailing 2-1, Williams cleared the bases in the third with a triple to give NKU a 4-2 lead.
- EKU scored seven runs in the fourth to take a 9-4 lead.
- Josh Williams had a sac fly in the seventh and Atlman homered in the eighth, but NKU could not complete the comeback.
