Australian guard Ethan Elliott signs with NKU Men's Basketball ahead of 2025-26 campaign

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. — Northern Kentucky men's basketball has added another talented guard to the roster ahead of the 2025-26 season, as Ethan Elliott has signed with the Norse.

Ethan Elliott signed

"Ethan is a fierce competitor that gives us another play-making guard," said head coach Darrin Horn, who will enter his seventh season at the helm of the program in 2025-26. "He makes others better, but is also capable of scoring the ball in bunches. He is excellent in transition which fits our uptempo style, and has a terrific assist-to-turnover ratio. In addition to his offense, he will be a perfect fit for us defensively because he excels at stealing the basketball."

Born in Perth, Australia, Ethan Elliott joins the Norse from Australia's NBL1 semi-professional basketball league. Elliott has starred for the Joondalup Wolves over the last two seasons, averaging 21.5 PTS, 5.5 AST, 4.25 REB and nearly 2.0 STL per game during his career. In eight games in 2025, Elliott was dominant, posting six games with 20+ points including a pair of 30+ point outings.

His finest outing of the season saw the 6'1 guard drop 32 points with seven assists, three steals and just one turnover while shooting 11/17 from the field and 3/6 from 3PT range. His other 30 point outing saw him hit five threes with six assists and no turnovers. He had a steal in every game, with three steals in a game on three separate occasions.

Elliott is the fourth transfer signed by the Norse this offseason, joining Shawn Nelson, Kael Robinson, and Tae Dozier. NKU has signed a pair of freshman as well, with Ryan Tolliver and JJ Apathjang set to join the Norse as well.
