Josh Dilling named to 2025 I-AAA ADA Scholar-Athlete Team

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. — Josh Dilling of Northern Kentucky men's basketball has been named to the 2025 DI-AAA Scholar Athlete Team, the association announced Wednesday. 

"It gives us immense pride to celebrate the remarkable achievements of our men's and women's scholar-athlete teams this year," stated Division I-AAA ADA President and Director of Athletics at Loyola University Chicago, Steve Watson. "These students exemplify the perfect balance between academic and athletic commitment. The dedication of these students enhances the core values that we aim to foster in college athletics. In addition, the postgraduate scholarships we provide are another opportunity for us to home in on their extraordinary accomplishment."

Dilling ADA I-AAA SA Team

Dilling, who transferred to Northern Kentucky for his graduate season, finished the year with a 3.77 GPA as a Business Administration major. On the court, Dilling played in all 33 games (21 starts), averaging 12.7 points per game with 100 made 3PT baskets in his lone season as a Norse. Dilling had five 20+ point games, including a season-best 28 vs. IU Indy in February. He was named a finalist for the Horizon League's Sportsmanship Award at the conclusion of the season. 

"We are incredibly proud of Josh Dilling for earning a place on the I-AAA Scholar-Athlete Team," said Northern Kentucky University Vice President and Director of Athletics Christina Roybal. "His commitment to excellence, both in the classroom and on the court, exemplifies what it means to be a true student-athlete. He represents NKU with integrity, leadership, and determination, and this recognition is a testament to his hard work and dedication."

Basketball players from all Division I-AAA ADA member institutions are eligible for these prestigious annual awards. Each of the nominees is required to maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.20 (4.00 scale) in undergraduate study and have been a starter or important reserve with legitimate athletics credentials.
