Alex Kron tabbed #HLMSOC Defensive Player of the Week

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Northern Kentucky University Norse men's soccer goalkeeper Alex Kron earned the first hardware of his Norse career on Tuesday afternoon, as the redshirt sophomore picked up Horizon League Defensive Player of the Week honors.

Kron notched his first shutout on Sunday as the Norse took down Western Illinois, 1-0. Kron played the first-half hero by saving a penalty mid-way through the period, one of four saves he had in the match. Kron improved his season record to 2-1-0 on Sunday, as he's spent every minute of the 2025 season in between the sticks for NKU. 

NKU Men's Soccer is back home on Saturday, set to take on Belmont at 7 PM.
